In 1978 Wes’s Backhoe Service started out with a Rubber Tired Backhoe and a Tandem Gravel Truck installing field systems, gas lines, gravel hauling and general excavation. Shawne Excavating was incorporated in September 1980 when Wes’ two brothers, Allan and Lewis became partners. The two brothers went on to other sectors of the construction industry, both starting their own companies. Wes’ son, Evan, stared working for the company full time in 2006 and his daughter, Jill started full time in 2008.

President – Wes Shaw – 45+ Years Experience
With over 40 years of experience in this challenging field, Wes has demonstrated his skills through a variety of projects. His ability as a project manager, attention to detail and efficient use of resources ensure that the project is held to the utmost standard. Wes works closely with all employees to ensure that any project issues are resolved in an effective and timely manner.
Project Manager – Jill Shaw – 15+ Years Experience
Jill’s’ role within with in Shawne Excavating is Project Estimator and Project Management. Her ability to prioritize, communicate and manage these roles simultaneously demonstrates her organizational skills and full understanding of the construction industry. She has an extensive knowledge of current specifications and will be crucial in maintaining the standards and goals set out for each project.
Onsite Superintendent/Foreman – Evan Shaw – 20+ Years Experience
Evan started developing his skills in the industry from a young age. Through years of experience working with Wes Shaw, he has developed an all-encompassing understanding of the industry which allows him to effectively manage the fleet resources efficiently. Evan’s role on the project will be on-site management of day-day operations as well as fleet organization.
